Dr John O'ConnorDr John O'Connor is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Director of Malone Psychology Services. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is an Associate Fellow of The British Psychological Society.

Dr O'Connor identifies and treats psychological problems across the entire spectrum with particular expertise in depression, anxiety and trauma. His Doctoral research explored the diagnosis of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and was completed at The Institute of Psychotrauma in London.

John completed his clinical training in East London under the supervision of Prof Mary Boyle. He has worked in a variety of NHS settings including Great Ormond St Hospital and Ealing Primary Care Trust. In 2008 Dr O'Connor was appointed at Consultant level by The Ministry of Defence to lead the provision of mental health services in the UK and Germany. As a Senior Manager John has been responsible for training mental health professionals and guiding policy decisions. Dr O'Connor is also recognised as an Expert Witness by the the BPS and has conducted many assessments for the courts.

Dr O'Connor uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He is passionate about identifying and using clients' personal virtues in tackling psychological distress.
